NX21 - As the story goes, a product manager left Diamir Fritchi to create his own company and introduce improvements over the popular Fritchi Diamir ski binding. The Naxo ski binding is designed to feel more like a telemark system while touring, with the help of an extra pivot up front. This new pivot design is most noticable on lower angle terrain, where randonnee bindings feel awkward. This binding is bomber, and intended to stand up to regular ski resort use, as well as anything you can throw at it in the backcountry. The toe piece is more like that of traditional resort bindings. The heel elevator mechanism works very well, and you can step in and out of it just like your resort bindings. Any AT or Alpine Ski Booot will fit in the Naxo.
